Treasures

The Outaouais has a rich heritage and a collective memory shaped by the region’s builders. This exhibition brings together for the first time artifacts and documents from the collections of members of the Gatineau and Outaouais Heritage Network (RPGO). These objects bear witness to the communities that built the Outaouais, and to their knowledge and know-how. Treasures that evoke the history and rich heritage of our region.

Outaouais inventory

The slide show features images of artifacts from various Outaouais heritage collections.

The audio aspect proposes an electroacoustic work evoking the sound heritage of the Outaouais through the fiction of sounds. The work is inspired, composed and imagined from historical accounts and archival fragments from the collections of members of the Gatineau and Outaouais Heritage Network.
