CONFÉRENCE – Des tramways pour se rendre à Aylmer, c’est du déjà vu!

Difficile de s’imaginer que, pendant près de 30 ans, il y avait un important parc d’attraction à trois kilomètres au nord-ouest de l’actuel port de plaisance d’Aylmer.

Le parc « Queen’s Park » a été actif de 1896 jusqu’à la fin des années 1920. Et on s’y rendait, par milliers, en … tramway!

Venez vous plonger dans une époque peut-être révolue mais si peu lointaine.

 It’s hard to imagine that, for almost 30 years, there was a large amusement park three kilometers northwest of the current Aylmer Marina.

Called « Queen’s Park », the attraction was active from 1896 until the late 1920s. And people went there, by the thousands, by … tram!

Attend and immerse yourself in an era that may be bygone but not so distant.
